1. Locate your device

The TeamSense+ device sits in a Charging Station over night and can be retrieved from this before the start of shift.ย  The charging screen will remain blue while docked.

2. What will my device look like?

The Android device is blue, lightweight and designed to be used in a construction environment. The outer casing can withstand all weather conditions with the screen displaying your name and site status.

Remove the device from the charging station. A message will appear each time this device is removed:

3. How do I attach my device?

  1. Put on your chest harness, make sure the mount is central to your chest, tighten to suit

  2. Hold device vertically against chest mount

  3. Slide clip into the mount and downwards

  4. Secure with a click!

4. Approach and Restricted zones

These zones are predetermined. The Approach zone has a radius of 10m from the 'Hook' whereas the Restricted zone has a radius of 7.5m

If you hit the Approach Zone, your device will emit a short alert to warn you of your proximity to the 'Hook'. If you hit the Restricted Zone, your device will give out a permanent alert until this zone is vacated.

ONLY WHEN YOUR ROLE TYPE HAS BEEN AUTHORISED TO WORK IN THE RESTRICTED ZONE, WILL THE DEVICE REMAIN SILENT IN CLOSE PROXIMITY OF THE HOOK

5. Know your alerts

This is the welcome/default screen. You are SAFE!

You have hit the Approach Zone. CAUTION!

You have hit the Restricted Zone.

PLEASE MOVE AWAY FROM THE LOAD!

6. How do I remove my device?

  1. Rotate device 90 degrees

  2. Hold chest mount to secure

  3. Pull device upwards

7. Replace device in Charging Station

Once your device has been removed from the chest mount, return it to the Charge Station. Make sure the device is seated correctly and the charging port is connected.

THE SCREEN WILL TURN BLUE WHEN CHARGING BEGINS

8. Due Care and Attention

DO.

  1. Ensure your chest harness is worn correctly.

  2. Ensure your device is securely attached to the chest mount while in use.

  3. Pay attention to the alerts if triggered

  4. Report any unsafe behaviour to your supervisor

DONT.

  1. Cause unnecessary or malicious damage to the device

  2. Submerge the device in water

  3. Attempt to disassemble the device

  4. Forget to retrieve your device every day while on the project

  5. Take anyone else's assigned device

  6. Forget to return your device to its charging station at the end of your shift
